We are looking for one of our clients :

PRODUCTION PLANNER

 

The Production Planner develops daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer requirements in a cost-effective manner to ensure on-time delivery. This position will work directly with production, quality, engineering, and supply chain management teams to determine needs within production processes.

 

Role :

• Gather and analyze electronic data interchange (EDI) and customer orders to convert into master schedule based on cycle times, efficiency, pieces, direct labor, and finished goods inventory levels

• Communicate with production, quality, and supply chain management teams to provide necessary scheduling or schedule change information

• Communicate the production schedule and any changes with the appropriate buyers of raw materials

• Communicate with others in the company to inform of any schedule changes and other critical information that affects their ability to perform their jobs effectively, as necessary

• Complete daily inventory reports

• Analyze inventory inaccuracies and identify root causes for discrepancies

• Maintain minimal levels of WIP / FG inventory with goals of increasing inventory turnover

• Verify the accuracy of daily production totals into the data base

• Verify the accuracy of the scrap report into the data base

• Work with program management and plant engineering to coordinate prototype and development runs • Provide capacity-planning data and analysis to plant management, mid-long term

• Provide production planning data and analysis to finance for annual budgets

• Lead or participate in physical inventory events as necessary

• Others as required

 

Profile :

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or relevant field required

• 3+ years of experience of Scheduling in a manufacturing environment or similar work experience required formerly

• Cooperation within teams to successfully carry out tasks and responsibilities

• Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel (Pivot tables e.g.) Word, and PowerPoint

• Hands-on approach to problem solving and analysis

• Ability to work under time pressure as well multi-tasking events

• Excellent Analytical Skills, particularly in forecasting and anticipating production needs and capabilities

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations

• In-depth knowledge of planning system software and material requirement planning (MRP)

• Excellent communication skills in English are mandatory; good communication level in German, French is an asset
